Zach is a senior this year. For anyone, senior year is a momentous occasion, but for MKs, senior year is even more so because they are getting ready to say goodbye to their whole world. As I write this, we are currently on Day 30 of total lockdown for Covid19, with Zach being the only one in our family allowed to leave the house and only for groceries at the corner store (last time, he waited 2.5 hrs outside in line before he made it in, only to discover many things out of stock). Let's just say this senior year is NOT turning out how any of us hoped, and it is especially difficult for the seniors as they are denied the opportunity for healthy transition and closure...Zach said it is like being stuck on the shore, watching once-in-a-lifetime opportunities drift away...that his senior year is crumbling around him. We just got news that classes will for sure be online the rest of the year, and the lockdown was just extended another 2 weeks. We are praying that the lockdown lifts in 2 weeks, and that our MK seniors are able to say healthy goodbyes to their world here in the Philippines. And we are praying for His grace and strength to cover them all during this time. We couldn't be prouder of the young man Zach has become, and he is handling all this amazingly well. But it is just HARD. Will you please pray with us?
