Some of you may remember a couple years ago, Steve and Ben competed in Spartan races - Ben in the kids' one and Steve did a "sprint" (5K plus 20+ obstacles). They wanted to do it last year, but Ben was a couple days too young for the adult one. This year, they got some friends together and ran it together. Zach ran with 3 of his friends (4 countries represented - USA, Switzerland, NZ and Philippines! Zach and one other had competed in a soccer tournament the day before so lots of exercise that weekend!), Ben ran with a friend, and Steve ran with my brother in law and another friend. They all had a blast and competed well. Zach and his friends finished the sprint in under an hour, Ben and his friend in just over an hour, and Steve and those guys were about twice that. :) It was a CRAZY hot day, so it was impressive just to finish.
